MyRetireHub ("we", "us") is responsible for myretirehub.com. This page describes the data we handle and the control you have over it. The summary: your age, savings, contributions and assumptions never leave your device, because that is where the calculation runs.
Which tool this covers
MyRetireHub is a retirement and FIRE calculator: it estimates the savings needed to retire using the 4% rule, projecting contributions, investment return, inflation and Social Security, and tests an early-retirement plan. In practice, it compounds the balance forward year by year at the real return after inflation, adds your contributions and any benefit, and compares the result against a target drawn from the withdrawal rate — so the distance to the number is shown as a date rather than a guess. This page should be read with that tool in mind, because the limits described apply to what it computes.
In day-to-day use the tool works only from your age, savings, contributions and assumptions, and it is usually opened for things like checking how far away a target retirement number is. None of that reaches us, so none of it can be stored.
The inputs you provide
Every result here is produced by JavaScript running in your browser. Your inputs are used only to render the answer on the page: they are not transmitted to a server, stored, sold, or shared. The calculation needs nothing beyond what is already on the page — it simply compounds the balance forward year by year at the real return after inflation.
Children
MyRetireHub provides general-purpose tools and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your privacy rights
Wherever you are, you can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or erased, and object to how it is used. Given how little MyRetireHub collects, the answer will usually be short, but the right stands.
Updates to this page
MyRetireHub revises this page whenever the way it handles data changes; the "last updated" line at the top always shows the current version.
Information collected as you browse
Standard server logs are generated when your browser requests a page. They cover technical details like your IP address, browser, referring URL and timestamps, and are used only to keep the site running and secure. None of it is linked to the input you give the tool.
How cookies and adverts work here
The only cookie we set ourselves is a small preference flag for the consent notice. Advertising is served by third parties, and those partners may place their own cookies to tailor the ads you see. You can refuse or clear them in your browser without losing any functionality — the tool itself has no dependency on cookies.
How we measure usage
Analytics on myretirehub.com are limited to counting: visits, a rough location and which tools are opened. The figures are aggregated rather than tied to a person, and none of them carries what you typed.
Amounts, rates and balances
Financial details are the kind of thing people expect to stay private. Here they do: the calculation runs locally and no amount, rate or balance is ever sent to a server.
How long data is kept, and how it is protected
Retention is close to a non-question here, because almost nothing personal is retained. What you enter lives in the tab; the site itself is served over TLS and maintained as needed.
