MyRetireHub

About MyRetireHub

There is nothing to sign up for at MyRetireHub. It is a retirement and FIRE calculator, it does one thing — estimates the savings needed to retire using the 4% rule, projecting contributions, investment return, inflation and Social Security, and tests an early-retirement plan — and it gives you the answer without first asking who you are.

Why MyRetireHub exists

Plenty of personal-finance pages already exist. Most of them make you dismiss a banner, ignore a modal and scroll past filler before the tool appears. MyRetireHub inverts that: the tool is the page, it estimates the savings needed to retire using the 4% rule, projecting contributions, investment return, inflation and Social Security, and tests an early-retirement plan, and everything else is explanation you can read or skip.

How the result is produced

The calculation happens in your browser, not on a server. Specifically, it compounds the balance forward year by year at the real return after inflation, adds your contributions and any benefit, and compares the result against a target drawn from the withdrawal rate — so the distance to the number is shown as a date rather than a guess. The method is documented rather than concealed, so you can reproduce a result by hand and see exactly where any difference comes from.

Privacy, by design

This is a local tool by construction. Your age, savings, contributions and assumptions never leave your device; there is no endpoint to receive them and no log to read them back from. Disconnecting from the internet after the page loads changes nothing about how it behaves.

Who this is for

Who pays for this

There is no charge to use MyRetireHub. The costs are covered by advertising, which stays out of the way of the tool itself and has no access to your input. If an advert ever interferes with the page, tell us and we will look at it.
